Description

The Dispatcher/Customer Support Representative will act as a liaison between our customers and dispatch to book orders and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency.

Perform dispatch duties as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with customers to book orders / loads to meet RTD dates
Stay in constant communication with drivers on the road
Monitor and track of the location of all drivers and cargo at all times
Ensure prompt receipt and delivery of material, product to and from customers
Update TMW transport system
Ensure and assist drivers with safety related concerns & issues
Advise on traffic and weather conditions and arrange emergency assistance for drivers when needed.
Utilize PeopleNet system for monitoring and compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Deal with conflict and be able to solve it quickly
This position is not limited to the above and can be modified and expanded as required

Qualifications:

High School diploma minimum requirement

University education an asset

Minimum 2 years' experience in a 3rd party logistics environment

Strong Customer Service Skills

Critical thinking and problem solving ability

Ability to work in collaboration with others

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of basic computer programs

Knowledge of GPS systems and geography

Dedication to safety and accident prevention
