The successful applicant will work closely with the Director of Instruction and provide administrative support services to the Department of Racial Equity.
the ability to be self-directed and work on multiple tasks independently using initiative, sound judgment and diplomacy is required
excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills, including the ability to successfully work with a variety of different public stakeholders
the ability to work under timeline pressures are key success attributes for the position
strong organization skills are crucial, multi-tasker, and a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage schedules, meetings and calendars
other skills and attributes include extensive computer expertise, a demonstrated high level of motivation and pride in work, as well as the ability to be proactive, use initiative, work independently, and function as part of a team
Tasks will include:
providing information to and assisting a variety of stakeholders, including parents and district staff and members of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and persons of colour) communities
handling correspondence
managing and maintaining multiple budgets and supporting files, records and reports, and event planning
