Assistant Hotel Manager Job Description

Asst. Hotel Manager Job Summary

  • This person will lead our team, provide and be an example of great customer service for our hotel guests.
  • Someone to bring new and creative ideas to help drive revenue and building strong relationships with guests to gain repeat business and to deal with suppliers to gain their support.
  • You will help the general manager oversee all aspects to the running of the hotel including supervising all departments, interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, coaching/counseling, and performance management.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide the vision, leadership, and strategy that inspires your staff to deliver exceptional guest service that drives financial success.
  • Collaborate with hotel department leaders to define goals and objectives that are compatible with the overall hotel goals, as well as strategies for achieving them.
  • Create a budget to maximize profit margins while keeping costs in balance with guest satisfaction and quality of services.
  • Lead sales and marketing efforts by developing a targeted strategy for publicizing the hotel's services and amenities.
  • Establish the hotel's reputation for quality by inspecting rooms, public areas, and the surrounding grounds for cleanliness and upkeep.
  • Be responsible and accountable for labour budgeting, scheduling and cost effectiveness in all departments as well as revenue management.
  • Experience in handling OTA accounts.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent GED; degree in hospitality or related field of study preferred.
  • Must have at least 1 or more years of experience in the hospitality field.
  • Certification is preferable.
  • Previous experience with a brand hotel as a hotel manager, assistant manager, or hotel department manager.
  • Must demonstrate a Yes I can Attitude, be reliable with excellent organizational skills, communication skills and problemsolving skills.
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guestfocused mentality and the capacity to think out of the box.
Compensation

  • Based on experience.

Salary:
$17.00-$19.00 per hour
