Assistant Hotel Manager Job Description

Asst. Hotel Manager Job Summary

This person will lead our team, provide and be an example of great customer service for our hotel guests.
Someone to bring new and creative ideas to help drive revenue and building strong relationships with guests to gain repeat business and to deal with suppliers to gain their support.
You will help the general manager oversee all aspects to the running of the hotel including supervising all departments, interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, coaching/counseling, and performance management.

Responsibilities:

Provide the vision, leadership, and strategy that inspires your staff to deliver exceptional guest service that drives financial success.
Collaborate with hotel department leaders to define goals and objectives that are compatible with the overall hotel goals, as well as strategies for achieving them.
Create a budget to maximize profit margins while keeping costs in balance with guest satisfaction and quality of services.
Lead sales and marketing efforts by developing a targeted strategy for publicizing the hotel's services and amenities.
Establish the hotel's reputation for quality by inspecting rooms, public areas, and the surrounding grounds for cleanliness and upkeep.
Be responsible and accountable for labour budgeting, scheduling and cost effectiveness in all departments as well as revenue management.
Experience in handling OTA accounts.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent GED; degree in hospitality or related field of study preferred.
Must have at least 1 or more years of experience in the hospitality field.
Certification is preferable.
Previous experience with a brand hotel as a hotel manager, assistant manager, or hotel department manager.
Must demonstrate a Yes I can Attitude, be reliable with excellent organizational skills, communication skills and problemsolving skills.
Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guestfocused mentality and the capacity to think out of the box.
