Reporting to the District Quality Lead, the Document Controller will assume responsibility for Bird and Safety Management System's policies, procedures and values.

This position is hybrid and based out of Mississauga.


Responsibilities:

Document Control

  • Conduct logging of Work Order Status.
  • Participate in Quality Start-Up Review of Work Order packages for engineering/scope completeness and turnover Reviews.
  • Maintain RFI, NCR and Transmittal Logs.
  • Compile quality key performance indicators.
  • Conduct ABSA coordination for vessel repairs.
  • Work within document control section of the Quality System Manual (QSM).
Quality Control Inspection

  • Verify that the specified base metal and welding materials are used and maintained in proper condition.
  • Verify that the joint preparation and fitup meet the requirements of the welding procedure drawings.
  • Examine and evaluate welds according to specified inspection procedure.
  • Review and interpret welding inspection procedures in conjunction with the standards, codes and drawings.
  • Monitor and examine work performed by tackers and welders.
  • Record inspection results.

What We Are Looking For:

  • High School diploma
  • CWB CSA W178.2 Level
  • Valid H2S Alive and CSTS tickets
  • Previous experience in heavy oil and/or gas industry
  • Knowledge of industrial piping and equipment installation
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Internet
  • Highest standard of professional ethics, confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks independently with strong time management skills to meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
  • Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including effective prioritization and follow up
  • Selfmotivated, action oriented and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently on routine tasks with a positive attitude and exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment
