Barber Collins security is looking for a part time overnight Security Guard to work at an Apartment complex in Kitchener _with the opportunity to pick up shifts during the week.

Must be comfortable dealing with the occasional homeless persons in a respectful manner._


Shifts
9pm - 5 am and 10p-6a


Responsibilities:


  • Protect building and tenant property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
  • Monitor and control access at building entrances
  • Access control for the facility/area.
  • Ensuring that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
  • Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decisionmaking ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

Skills:


  • Proven work experience as a security guard
  • Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
  • Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
  • Integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to walk up stars and do exterior patrols.
  • Ability to work alone including parking lot patrols.
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 16 per week


Salary:
$16.50 per hour
