Oshawa, ON site is looking for an organized, results-driven and professional
Payroll and Billing Administrator to join the Project Payroll and Billing team.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:


KEY CUSTOMERS SERVED:


  • Project Management, Construction, Estimating, Engineering, Procurement, Quality Assurance and Safety
  • Project Financials Controller and senior management team
  • Head office A/R, A/P and Payroll
  • Nuclear industry clients

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Inputs and reconciles timesheets and billings to the internal software system and to the client's cost & project management software systems
  • Conducts cost control analysis and provides financial reporting to support the project teams and senior management
  • Advises the project teams on proper payroll and billing processes
  • Provides support to the Project Financials Controller to develop, interpret and monitor payroll and billings policies and procedures to ensure they are updated, implemented, and communicated effectively
  • Maintains a working knowledge of union collective agreements
  • Assists with monthend and yearend close processes
  • Performs miscellaneous clerical functions and,
  • Other duties, as assigned, including special payroll projects and functions

KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:


  • OSSD Diploma
  • College business or accounting diploma or university degree is an asset
  • Accounting designation is an asset
  • Payroll and billing experience preferred

SPECIFIC SKILL AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Experience in a Construction, Engineering, Nuclear or Project Management environment would be a definate asset
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes
  • Knowledge of relevant union collective agreements
  • Indepth knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Oncore is an asset
