Description

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) is responsible for regulating the alcohol, gaming and horse racing sectors and cannabis retail in Ontario in accordance with the principles of honesty and integrity, and in the public interest.


  • Assist in the analysis and reviews data related to the ERP system implementation (e.g., account balances, details of transactions for actual, budget or forecast data).
  • Import/export data between different systems to ensure data migration for the implementation of the ERP in the finance and procurement related modules.
  • Work on data cleansing for the purposes of the import/export of data related to the implementation of ERP.
  • In collaboration with project team members, document processes based on the requirements gathered and submit such materials for the collegial and managerial review and approval.
  • Work with I&IT team to ensure business requirements are implemented and ERP solution finance and procurement modules are configured appropriately.
  • Assist in researching legislative requirement, internal policy, and audit requirements in the process of creating, editing and maintenance of finance and procurement related functions within the ERP solution.
  • Support the creation and updating financial policies, procedures, processes, and flow diagrams.
  • Support other team members in Finance during the time of audit for preparation of supporting documents and analysis.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in updating, documenting, and testing new processes to respond to audit requirements/findings.
  • Provide support to the accounting, control and administrative functions of the Finance & Administration branch during the ERP implementation.
  • Provide backup support for other staff in the Finance Unit, as needed.

How do I qualify?:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • CPA accounting designation or equivalent (or in progress) is an asset.
  • Experience in the use and implementation of financial system preferred.
  • Ability to leverage technology to prepare sophisticated documents, financial reports, spreadsheets, and presentations using a variety of software tools including Oracle Financials and MS Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of OPS financial analysis, budget management and administration principles, practices, and processes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data organization and record keeping of the financial records and in relations to an audit.
  • Communications skills to prepare presentations, charts and documents and present them to nontechnical audiences.
