Basic Qualifications Include

Post-Secondary education in Health & Safety
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in English is required, with proficiency in other languages considered beneficial.
JHSC Certification is an asset

Position Responsibilities

Maintain and improve health and safety programs, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company expectations.
Identify hazards and risks through audits, inspections and assessments and recommend corrective measures to the JHSC and Management.
Deliver and/or arrange Health and Safety training to employees and subcontractors.
Investigate accidents and aid in the Return to Work process.
Other duties as required.
Site visits and audits within the GTA
Lead JHSC activities
Modernize safety culture through implementation of "Best Practices"
