We are looking for a Store Manager to oversee all store operations at our Halifax Shopping Centre location. The Store Manager is responsible for upholding store standards, staffing and customer service. Freak Lunchbox is Atlantic Canada's Original Candy Store since 2001. Offering a premium selection of the world's most exclusive and exceptional pre-packaged and bulk candy.

To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful team builder, an outgoing and enthusiastic people person and a confident decision-maker.

You will be working in-store as well as coaching a small and dedicated team to thrive and be productive. The primary responsibility is creating a customer focused environment, from greeting, cleanliness, product freshness, and positivity for your team.

You will be provided constant support and work closely with the owners, our General Manager, our HR department and an expansive and knowledgeable team at our 8 retail locations.

Responsibilities:

Create the overall customer service oriented environment at our Halifax location
Provide inperson customer care and service
Maintain a staff of up to 8 employees with the assistance of your GM and HR consultants
Maintain cleanliness, inventory and stock levels
Direct the employee assessment process and encourage employee performance
Ensure shift coverage during sick calls
Prepare regular reports for management
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
Provide solutions to issues
Ensure merchandising standards are upheld, in a bright and loud environment

Skills:

Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager
Experience in planning and budgeting
Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
Strong analytical ability
Excellent communication skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Problemsolving aptitude
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage a diverse staff
Merchandising in a busy environment
Ability to calmly handle HR issues
