Training Specialist - Toronto, Canada - Employee by Design
Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training programs for our employees and clients.
- Analyze training needs and create training plans to address those needs.
- Create and maintain training materials, including guides, videos, and presentations.
- Conduct training sessions, both virtually / online and inoffice, for employees and clients.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Collaborate with different teams to identify training needs and ensure consistency across departments.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts on new products and integrations to train internal teams and build content
- Keep uptodate with industry trends and changes to ensure training materials remain relevant and effective.

- Clients & Customers
- Facilitate the introduction of PointofSale software to firsttime clients by coordinating with Project Management to create training schedules and agendas
- Create training calendar invites, Zoom dialin & attendance tracking information for client and internal training sessions
- Understand user requirements, technical specifications, and product features in order to translate them training points for the client
- Facilitate training via remote learning tools (Zoom Webinar or other remote session tools)
- Send the appropriate training documentations to each client after training sessions
- Create and maintain training materials in SharePoint & Confluence knowledge base
- Assist in the creation of assets (written guides, job aids, and quickvideo walkthroughs)
- Maintain session tracking spreadsheets for analytics & training ticketing system

- Employees & newHire Onboarding
- Prepare training plans for new hires entering the organization
- Assist with training new hires on POS Software and other products
- Create and administer training evaluations to ensure successful knowledge transfer / retention
- Maintain accurate documentation of internal training plans
- Content planning and creation for internal learning management system
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in learning and development.
- Degree or certification in Adult Learning, Instructional design or a related field (Certified Training Practitioner (CTP) is an asset
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written correspondence
- Previous client/customer facing training experience through various channels (i.e. Zoom, video sessions, inperson sessions, class settings, or other applicable customerfacing environments)
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly, with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks for yourself and others
- Not afraid to ask questions and make recommendations
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and other training technologies is an asset.
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or retail environment with POS systems (software / hardware) is an asset
- Bilingual English / French is an asset.

Experience:
- learning and development: 3 years (preferred)
Technology Industry: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Certified Training Practitioner (CTP) (preferred)
