DIGITIZER
At Powerline Plus Ltd., We focus on three main operations, Electrical, Civil Construction and Engineering & Design. Powerline Plus Ltd.

provides quality solutions to public utilities, municipalities and developers, as well as to industrial, national and international manufacturing companies across the GTA.

Digitizers at Powerline Plus Ltd.

will digitize all components of civil and electrical construction drawings onto Toronto Hydro's online asset mapping and database known as GEAR.

This individual must be an effective learner who is highly motivated as well as dedicated to work both independently and with direction from others.

Digitizers maintains ongoing relations with co-workers and management in the Engineering & Design Department.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree, certificate or diploma from college or university in drafting, computer aided design, or similar
  • Previous experience as a Digitizer considered an asset
  • Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician certificate considered an asset
  • Experience with GIS software considered an asset
  • Utility knowledge considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Digitize (draft) utility (Civil & Electrical) assets onto customer's utility distribution network based on design drawings including but not limited to, overhead/underground primary/secondary conductors, transformers, switch gears, customer services, street lighting, and civil structures.
  • Follow standards, regulations, established rules, common practices, and whitespace management guidelines.
  • Input attribute data and establish various relationships (electrical connectivity, duct connectivity, and ownership relationships)
  • Preform Query Checks, Validation, and Conflict Detection/Resolution
  • Prepare / submit change requests on demand.
  • Conduct relevant administrative tasks as required

Salary:
From $50,000.00 per year
