Event Supervisor

The Janitorial Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager and works in conjunction with the Customer Satisfaction Team for continuous client satisfaction, and to support the company's operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for locations assigned by the Operations Manager
Perform building walkthroughs and inspections
Training and Supervision of new and current employees
Assign daily direction and worklists to employees
Assist the management team with ongoing employee reviews
Inspect completed work for conformance to standards
Make sure the employees follow health and safety regulations
Work with management on performance appraisals
Ensuring adequate supplies are available and accounted for
Handle customers' complaints, concerns, or questions
Plan and prepare (schedule) employees' work assignments
Meet with the Operations Manager for weekly one on one meetings
Fill in for staff or work at the frontline level based on business need
Be available to work an events based schedule, including evenings and weekends
Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

Qualifications

Minimum 1year experience in a supervisory role or lead hand will be an asset
Ability to travel to different locations across the lower mainland
Good leadership skills and customer relations experience
Some experience with commercial cleaning and/or events, including radio etiquette
A class 5 or 7 driver's license with good driving abstract (no major offences)
A good understanding of SDS sheets and knowledge of health and safety regulations will be an asset
Have a sense of urgency to complete tasks

Everclean is a large successful facility services company, and we are currently hiring a
casual Events Janitorial Supervisor for our BC Place in
Vancouver, BC.

Hourly wage = $20-$23/hour depending on experience

The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all cleaning staff members, conducting daily inspections of buildings assigned.

The supervisor must ensure that employees' performance in terms of standards of cleanliness, and their behaviours meet or exceed standards.

They must ensure that a high-quality janitorial service is delivered to all our clients.

The Janitorial Supervisor must have excellent customer service skills, have a can-do attitude, and must be able to work independently with minimum or no supervision.

He or she must be able to travel to different locations through the lower mainland.
