Job title:
Finance and Commercial Affairs Analyst


Job duties:


  • Prepare liquidity analysis concerning capital reports and present results to executives (CFO and Portfolio Manager)
  • Plan short
- and long-term cash flows and assess financial performance.


  • Follow up on financing with lenders.
  • Collect financial and investment information about companies, stocks, bonds and other investments.
  • Consolidating the development properties and multi-residential properties focused in ESG into the Private Fund under ASPE.
  • Prepare the consolidated packages, perform preliminary NAV allocations, fee calculations, and return calculations, prepare the quarterly reports and manage the liquidity needs of the Private Fund. Since the Fund is specialized, there are nuances in reporting which can't be seen in other funds.
  • Ability to answer due diligence questionnaires focused on ESG which is needed to market the private fund.
  • Ability to effectively review marketing materials.
  • Ability to liaise directly with the fund administrator, portfolio manager, and VPs on fund-related matters.
  • Assist in preparing operational and investment budgets.
  • Develop and update financial policies.
  • Collect underlying investment contracts, calls for tender, budget forecasts, and financial statements.
  • Examine and analyze financial forecasts, reports, and investment projects.
  • Prepare working paper files for quarterly and yearend to support the financial statements and MDA.
  • Prepare wire templates and perform administrative tasks.
  • Prepare the consolidated financial statements and quarterly reports to investors.
  • Completes the due diligence questionnaires of current and potential investors.
  • Review marketing materials.
  • Evaluate financial risk and develop risk management plans.

Educational Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.

The incumbent must be actively enrolled in the CPA program.

PMP designation/certification is an asset.


Other requirements/qualifications, years of experience:


  • Handson experience preparing liquidity analysis concerning capital reports.
  • Prior experience planning short
- and long-term cash flows and assessing financial performance.

  • Handson experience following up on financing with lenders.
  • Ability to assist in preparing operational budgets.
  • Required knowledge to develop and update financial policies successfully.
  • Proven knowledge and skills in collecting underlying investment agreements, budget forecasts financial statements, and other financial reports.
  • 1 + years of prior work experience examining and analyzing financial forecasts and reports.
  • Proven knowledge and ability to prepare consolidated financial statements and quarterly reports to investors.
  • 1+ year of work experience managing journal entry booking, account reconciliations, and payroll for investment and management companies.
  • Proven ability and knowledge to consolidate the development properties and multiresidential properties with different ownership interests focused in ESG into the Private Fund under ASPE.
  • At least 1 year of work experience preparing the consolidated packages, performing preliminary NAV allocations, fee calculations, and return calculations.
  • At least 1 year of work experience preparing the quarterly reports and managing the liquidity needs of the fund.
  • Excellent knowledge of all reporting nuances for ASPE Private Fund which can't be seen in other funds.
  • Proven ability to answer due diligence questionnaires focused on ESG which is needed to market the private fund.
  • Excellent English language oral and written skills.

Position terms:
Full-time, permanent position for a 40-hour work week.


Salary:
$77,022 per annum
