What YOU Will Do

Manage project supplier and contractor relationships and accounts with assigned key/strategic suppliers to optimize financial and operational performance ;
Identify potential subtrades and suppliers, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring best value for money ;
Prepare tender documents for procurement of subcontractors/suppliers including: Term and condition of contract, Construction methodologies and schedule, Pricing requirements in conjunction with other project team members;
Develop and maintain procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance metrics ;
Monitor supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans as necessary ;
Negotiate prices and conditions with subcontractors and vendors ;
Control the process if additional change orders are needed ;
Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements and develop procurement plans accordingly ;
Develop and prepare reports for the managing staff to give an update of the procurement process ;
Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

What YOU Will Bring

10+ years of experience in procurement or quantity surveying, preferably in ICI construction ;
Experience, familiarity, and existing relationship with major local suppliers across Canada would be an asset ;
Practical experience of procurement processes, methods, practices, and contract administration as well as accounting and scheduling principles ;
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and supplier management ;
Strong computer skills, specifically with MS Office and specialized procurement software ;
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and the ability to coordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectives ;
Strong analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking abilities ;
Excellent organizational skills ;
Ability to work productively with nominal supervision ;
Availability to travel to monitor supplier's performance, production and schedules as needed.
