Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Planner/Coordinator.

Reporting to the Customer Services Manager, Lower Mainland, the Planner/Coordinator will be responsible for planning next day and future order schedules for Ready Mix Concrete ensuring that there is optimal cost-effective efficiency while maintaining an exceptional customer service experience throughout the order cycle.

This position is based in Vancouver, BC.


What You'll Get To Do:


  • Reviews future days order schedule
  • Negotiates times with customers
  • Laisse with Sales Team leveraging customer service needs
  • Guides CSR's on next day order time scheduling and future day scheduling for top customers and large pours.
  • Laisse with QC on mix material requirements and restrictions on scheduling.
  • Laisse with production and Logistics Supervisor on plant aggregate inventories scheduling impacts
  • Backup to Driver Scheduler during their absence
  • Training support for CSR's
  • Backup driver vacation calendar
  • Work closely with Dispatch and Customer Service Supervisors to culminate Customer Service Center customer experience from order to delivery.

Who we are looking for:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 5 years dispatching/customer service in related industry
  • Fluid knowledge of Command Series
  • Highly detail orientated
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook)

Work Environment:


  • Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels
