We are currently searching for a VP of Sales for our Kärcher Commercial/Industrial Division. Our parent company, Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co., is the world leader in industrial cleaning systems. Our products are recognized as the highest quality in the industry with the strongest brands in the industry. This position will be located in Camas, Washington, located near Portland, Oregon.

This position is directly responsible for the Kärcher Commercial/Industrial Sales Division.

This purpose of this position is to develop a professional sales organization within which the sales functions of Kärcher North America and are successfully accomplished by performing the following:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for Sales Division's profit and loss.


Develop sales goals and provides ongoing supervision of the assigned Sales Division to accomplish sales goals through training and motivation.

Develop strategies and goals to insure current sales channels and new channels are developed to increase market share.

Coordinate annual Dealer Shows, ongoing training schools and regional meetings.


Coordinate the assigned sales division with other divisions to develop and implement an ongoing marketing effort; provide sales forecasts to Manufacturing Division, and develop market strategies in cooperation with the Marketing Division.

Responsible for written policies, budgets and procedures for divisional operations.

Must become very knowledgeable of product line, and maintain that knowledge through continued education.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


Manage employees in the assigned Sales Division and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.

Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) required, but prefer master's degree, in marketing, communications, business or related field from four-year college or university.

Must have 10-15 years of sales experience on a national basis using a dealership network with 5-8 years of successful management of a sales division with national experience.


Must have proven record of profitably increasing sales volume from year to year by using the resources of a good sales team and business-to-business marketing strategies.

Must be an outstanding sales person and able to manage same. Must have demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints. Proven ability to train and motivate a sales team. Must have experience with personal computer.

Frequent travel required.
