Reporting to the Director of Learning and Development, North America, the
Learning and Development Consultant works closely with the US/Canada sales team to understand their business objectives and to provide sales enablement and training support to help them meet their sales objectives.


MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Project lead and management 40%

  • Works closely with L&D team to complete training programs
  • Follows the learning & development intake process for projects to document and communicate needs and business objectives to designers and collaborators
  • Communicates curriculum road map for projects to leaders to gain agreement
  • Leads training projects assigns resources, considers budget, creates workback schedules, communication plans, plans for implementation of training from deployment to learning transfer
  • Works with the Director of Learning and Development, North America to align training across businesses and improve processes

Sales Enablement Support to Business 30%

  • Develops/ updates competency model for the businesses they support including creation, launch, and maintenance
  • Coaches the coach on those skills related to training programs
  • Knowledgeable about the business and seeks out new trends in the business and training industry
  • Supports product launches and organizational change within the business by preparing and enabling the sales force to understand and sell our solutions
  • Builds trusted relationships with all levels of sales and leadership, gains consensus and commitment from leaders, digs deeper to understand business goals.
  • Actively listens, remains curious, and questions to uncover true needs

Training Design and Consulting 30%

  • Leads annual training plan and communicates regularly with collaborators on progress and shifts in priority
  • Prepares and completes initiatives to support transfer of learning
  • Owns the onboarding process and manages the maintenance of onboarding materials in collaboration with design team
  • Assesses achievement of business objectives set for training programs
  • Works closely with instructional design team to complete training programs
  • Sits on working group meetings to support changes to business

Education & Experience

  • 57 years of experience with training and or facilitation
  • University/College degree in an educationrelated field
  • Bilingual in French/English would be an asset
  • Coaching knowledge and experience
  • Ability to think critically and ask targeted and curious questions to resolve needs and respond appropriately
  • Experience with multiple delivery methods, including elearning initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Strong Facilitation skills
  • Ability to handle expectations and multiple priorities
  • Project management and organizational skills

Salary & Benefits


The annual base salary for this role in the primary location of Toronto, Ontario is expected to be between $82,500.00 CAD - $148,500.00 CAD.
