What does your day at GIP Interpaving look like?

  • Trenching. Subgrade excavating. Stripping. Sloping and banking. Material handling. Land clearing. Haul road maintenance.
  • Excavation. Backfilling. Slope grooming. Stock piling. Maintain operation and job logs.
  • Conduct preoperation checks and documentation as required.
  • Operate a twoway radio where and when necessary.
  • Refuel, clean, and lubricate equipment as prescribed.
  • Secure special attachments to equipment.
  • Able to work independently and follow instructions on requirements of the job.
  • Follow all health and safety instructions and standards as communicated. Use and maintain all safety equipment as prescribed.

Enough about us, let's talk about you.

  • Valid Ontario Drivers License is an asset.
  • Minimum 1year Heavy Equipment Operator experience is considered an asset.
  • Able to work outdoors.
  • Able to conduct daily routine equipment checks etc.
  • Outcomefocused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
  • Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.
