Position Objective
To provide a safe and supportive environment for clients in treatment.

Working as a dedicated and knowledgeable team member of the client services department, which provides an unbiased and reliable approach to meet clients' treatment needs.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential): _Understanding of addictions field, coaching skills, confidence in dealing with people in a variety of situations
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable): _Public speaking skills, certificate or diploma in addictions or related field
Education: _High school graduate
Licensing:_ Valid class 4 drivers' licence
Certificates: _Up to date level 1 first aid

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

General_
Maintains up to date knowledge of health and safety and emergency procedures as outlined in SCHC and GSWC policies
Observes and reports the "culture and climate" of the community at the Centre
Record observations and concerns in KIPU flags, support notes, and shift report
Collaborate with senior management and CEO with day to day activities and projects
Respond and support your assigned clients with inquiries and offer direction to clinical staff as required
Attend weekly case management meetings for your assigned team.
Make sure clients assigned to your team are settle well into program and/or medical unit
Complete admissions procedures with assigned clients in a timely manner with attention to detail and accuracy
Client outings as required by scheduling needs
Liaise client requests for day passes or LOAs with Client Services Supervisor, following protocols and procedures
Empowerment of clients through contribution and presence
Administer medications as requested, following protocols and procedures
Guide clients to proper avenues when they have concerns
Assist clients in navigating effectively through treatment by being professional, efficient, compassionate and empathetic.
