Position Purpose:


Responsibilities:


  • Develops, delivers and/or facilitates learning, team building, leadership and wellness programs and workshops, including program design, communications, delivery, monitoring and evaluation
  • Leads and supports learning, culture transformation and organizational development initiatives, including development and delivery of training/educational materials, testing, execution, communications and evaluation of programs
  • Consults with all levels of internal stakeholders in the development and implementation of strategies, tactics and programs that support the various initiatives being rolled out
  • Supports development and implementation of corporate policies, processes and programs as they relate to learning, workforce/succession planning, wellness and culture transformation.
  • Develops and supports program communications and strategy in partnership with the Employee Communications team, including corporate and leadership communications, program launch, and scripts
  • Ensures that the corporate initiatives introduced into the organization contribute to organizational objectives and align with Alectra's People Deal, corporate vision and mission
  • Works very closely with the LODEC team and People & Transformation team on all projects and programs
  • Ensures compliance to legislative, regulatory, and Health & Safety policies, procedures and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Specialized Knowledge:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Prosci/ADKAR certification preferred
  • CHRL Designation preferred
  • Resilient and agile in a fastpaced, evolving environment
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple projects and initiatives within established timelines
  • Solid problemsolving and analytical skills with the ability to provide practical and/or innovative solutions to complex issues
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain information in an organized and concise way
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership

Experience:


  • Minimum of five years' experience working in Learning and/ or Organizational Development
  • Minimum of three years' experience leading Culture Transformation projects
  • Two years' experience working on Employee Health and Wellness is an asset
  • Experience working in an unionized environment

Skills/Abilities/Competencies:


  • Strong communications and planning skills, with the ability to assess the impact and risks of decisions
  • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience with conducting research, analyzing and compilation of reports, and prioritization of work
  • Familiarity with developing creative program and marketing materials
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and motivating team player committed to the overall success of the organization
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple initiatives within established timelines
  • Ability to deal effectively, with courtesy to all levels of staff and external organizations
  • Demonstrates a high degree to integrity, diplomacy, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team with enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity
  • Demonstrates competence in continuous improvement, accountability, teamwork and development
  • Must hold and maintain a valid class "G" driver's license and be willing to travel across Alectra's service territory
