In these positions you will assist two (2) individuals with developmental disabilities and complex behaviours to enrich their quality of life in their homes and communities.

Hours:
Friday and Saturday 10:00pm to 10:00am; 24 awake hours
every second weekend.

In your role you will:

̈ Connect with and develop helping relationships with individuals with disabilities

̈ Act as a strong advocate for individuals in the community

̈ Work effectively as a team with the individuals and their support team to help achieve their goals

̈ Complete daily documentation

̈ Support and participate in recreation and leisure activities

̈ Perform administrative and cleaning duties relating to the operation of the home

̈ Participate in on-going program development

̈ Completion of High School diploma

̈ Six (6) months experience working within the Human Services field

̈ Equivalencies may be considered

̈ Security Clearance Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (from within the last 6 months)

̈ Valid Class 5 drivers license, current drivers abstract, auto insurance and a reliable vehicle are not required, however, would be assets

̈ Emergency First Aid-Level A CPR + AED

̈ Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills

̈ Computer/Word processing skills

̈ Ability to implement approved restrictive practices and establish boundaries while maintaining positive supports

̈ Ability to assist with personal care

̈ Desire to see individuals succeed

Starting Rate of Pay:
$20.19-$21.41 per hour (awake rate); depending on experience and education
