What you'll do:


  • Develop original video content for Cookin for our social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and YouTube)
  • Film and edit video content, GIFs, Reels or TikToks that help drive platform engagement
  • Support with content captions, social media posting calendars, and audience engagement on platform
  • Stay on top of events and culturally relevant moments where audiences can be engaged on Social
  • Analyze postperformance to determine and guide future content creation strategies
  • Special projects as needed

What we're looking for:


  • Desire to pursue a career in journalism or marketing
  • Currently pursuing a Business, Marketing or Journalism degree at an accredited Canadian institution
  • A keen eye for visuals; social medialevel photography, videography, design and editing skills
  • Obsession with Instagram and TikTok with the knowledge of new trends (sounds, editing techniques, inapp features, and how to optimize content for the platform and algorithm)
  • Deep knowledge of and passion for food, hospitality, lifestyle, culture and media
  • Selfstarter, independent and proactive worker; ability to take on new projects and work with little supervision
  • Oral and written fluency in English
  • Role is inperson at Cookin's office (Downtown Toronto)
  • Flexible Summer Start date. Ideally May
  • August months)
hours a week / either internship or co-op available

  • Experience with Adobe Suite, Canva or any video /photo editing software a plus
