    Description

    Who We Are:
    USask CPE is a service unit based in the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition, University of Saskatchewan. USask CPE develops and delivers meaningful and responsive continuing education to support healthcare professionals in providing exceptional care. USask CPE often collaborates on continuing education courses with other health organizations and partners.
    This position also requires short, medium, and long-term planning, and the ability to balance competing deadlines, and multi-task. Some travel may be required (meetings, conferences), as is attendance at occasional evening and weekend training events.
    This course will be approximately 125-hours in length and is primarily delivered online during a four-month time period.
    Creating learning activities and resources to support pharmacists in gaining competence in advanced prescribing
    Designing live online collaborative learning sessions
    Creating resources to support Designated Prescribing Professional (DPP) mentors
    Supporting and answering questions from DPPs
    Providing 2-day, in-person physical assessment training (likely weekend)

    Master of Nursing Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner, Postgraduate Degree Specialization Certificate Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner, or equivalent.


    Licenses:
    The successful applicant must be licensed (or eligible to be licensed) as a Nurse Practitioner in Saskatchewan.

    Preference will be given to applicants with current Nurse Practitioner prescribing experience, including ordering diagnostic tests and performing assessments for the management and treatment of stable chronic conditions.

    Delivery of education and physical assessment training experience and preceptorship of Nurse Practitioner student(s) are considered an asset.
