If so, look no further, as we are currently looking for a Bilingual Financial Controller to support our client.

In this role you will work full time hours on a 12 month assignment, workingprimarily remote in support of their Montreal office.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Finance team, the job incumbent will be actively involved in all accounting & finance activities for multiple domains.

The position will also have the responsibility to support the activities of Thales Digital Solutions & assist the finance team with any other country finance tasks as required by management.

• Participate in the month end process and support the finance shared service department.
• Prepare internal management reports with appropriate analysis.
• Participate actively in the budgeting process.
• Prepare timely reports for management in order to assist in the decision making process.
• Support various bids & proposals
• Coordinate various audits, subsidy claims & participate in the preparation of the Canada statutory financial statements and tax filings

Qualifications
Qualifications

• Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA; CPA, CGA or CPA, CMA) required (or in process of obtaining)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, within an accounting firm or a multinational organization
• Willingness to be hands-on
• Bilingualism (French / English)
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset
• Good proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles
• Good communication skills
• Maturity and initiative; adaptability to new situations
