    Description

Position: Truck Mechanic Class ALocation: Kitchener, ONSalary: $90,000 - $110,000 YearlyIndustry: Transportation/ Industrial/ MaintenanceEmployment Term: Full Time / Permanent
    Shift preference: Please indicate your preferred shift(s) by adding your response to the email
    • 7 am to 3 pm (overtime available) - Days
    • 11 am to 7 pm (overtime available) – Late Days
    • 3 pm to 11 pm - Afternoons
    • 7 am to 5 pm (overtime available) - weekends
    Roles & Responsibilities:
    • Perform routine preventive maintenance inspections
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on the vehicles
    • Conduct thorough inspections and tests of brakes, steering, suspension, and other components to identify and address any potential problems
    • Complete repairs and replacements of defective parts, components, and systems using tools and equipment
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts usage
    • Coordinate with managers and drivers to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize vehicle availability
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations
    • Other tasks as assigned
    Qualifications & Experience:
    • Post Secondary education or equivalent in a related field
    • Valid Class A License required
    • 5+ years of experience as a mechanic working on Class A category vehicles
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
    • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all aspects of work
    • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
