We currently seek a highly motivated Full-Time and Part-Time Seasonal Groundskeeper to join our dynamic team._


Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation.
  • Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twinaxle vehicles, snow blowers, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
  • Mow or edge lawns.
  • Shovel snow from walks, driveways or parking lots and spread salt in those areas.
  • Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, wedding, grubbing, removing thatch or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks or walls.
  • Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
  • Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
  • Gather and remove litter.
  • Maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum two years of responsible experience in landscaping or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good knowledge of annuals and perennials i.e. identification and care.
  • Good skill in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Arm-Hand Steadiness
  • The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.


  • Multilimb Coordination

  • The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.


  • Control Precision

  • The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.


  • Manual Dexterity

  • The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.


  • Near Vision

  • The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).


  • Oral Comprehension

  • The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.


  • Static Strength

  • The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.


  • Extent Flexibility

  • The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.


  • Speech Recognition

  • The ability to identify and understand the speech of another person.


  • Oral Expression

  • The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Fast paced environment must be able to work under pressure and be able to multitask.
  • Physically fit, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Wear common Personal Protective Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection, or Hard Hats.

Exposed to:

  • Very Hot or Cold Temperatures.
  • Sounds, noise levels are distracting or uncomfortable.
  • In an open vehicle or equipment.
  • Spends time standing, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, walking for extended periods each shift.
  • May be exposed to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings.
