Strategic Sourcing Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated individual with sourcing experience who fully understands the Promotional Products landscape and is interested in selecting Trendy, Useful, Thoughtful, Quality/Value driven, and Readily Available items that our clients will love.

These items will be mainly sourced from a key number of vendors that we have great partnerships with.

This individual will work directly with the Operations Team and will be further aligned with the Design/Marketing team, Sales Team and Inventory Management Team.

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will be primarily responsible for "Curating" product selection, quotes, presentations, finalizing selected items (imagery, titles, descriptions etc.) and working with Account Managers to trouble shoot any issues that may arise.

They'll also be working with our key suppliers on a regular basis to ensure they always have the most up-to-date information on new product trends, launches or products being phased out.

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage the selection of quality, deep inventoried products from our key leading suppliers while keeping in mind client needs like demographics, ecofocus and sustainability, diverse suppliers, and brand guidelines
Obtain accurate pricing, availability information, leads times and decoration techniques for quote submissions and final approvals
Manage creation, consolidation and maintenance of "ready for sale" product database for use by our various Sales divisions
Engage in regular meetings with key suppliers to nurture strong relationships and discuss potential program opportunities, product trends, and market changes
Work closely with Inventory Management team to ensure accurate product quantities are available for purchase and are products that the supplier is intending to support for a reasonable period of time
Work closely with the Account Managers to monitor and assess existing product availability and continually add and remove items as necessary
Ensure that all pertinent product information is available for use on our sites including imaging, product specs, imprint types, pricing and descriptions
Where merited, provide input into our tech team to continually assess and improve the way we select, make ready, and procure items
Work with internal teams to create seasonal lookbooks which will showcase new product launches to aid in driving sales for the whole company
Take part in client presentations to showcase new product proposals for Refreshes, Bookings or RFP's
Attend product knowledge meetings or webinars with suppliers to keep up to date with product trends, launches and overall happenings in the industry
Provide direction and guidance to the Sourcing Coordinator
Assist with any ad hoc projects or duties that may arise

What are we looking for?

12 years of Promotional Product industry experience with a keen interest in finding great products that will excite and generate sales
Effective time management and meticulous attention to detail
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at various stages in a fastpaced environment, ensuring timely and clean delivery of each
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate and work effectively within a team environment

Salary:
$48,304.43-$76,058.36 per year
