We have an opportunity for an individual who thrives at business development and is passionate about paving the path to digitalization and autonomous operation by providing cutting-edge digitalization technology solutions to our Mining & Mineral Processing customers.

As the Business Development Manager, you will leverage this passion along with your proven track record of selling-value added products to successfully introduce these technologies to both new and existing industry customers with a focus on Eastern Canada.


Responsibilities may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Assesses, evaluates, establishes, and develops opportunities in the Mining & Mineral Processing industry.
  • Initiates, builds, and enhances relationships with customers and strategic partners.
  • Drives achievable growth in sales forecasting and planning.
  • While working closely with the Operations team, leads the definition, development, and execution of sales growth strategies and sales / marketing campaigns to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Gathers, reviews and analyzes information to develop recommendations for new and existing products, innovations and improvement initiatives.
  • Develops and delivers effective presentations and demonstrations on the value of our offerings to customers and to close sales.
  • Tracks progress and maintains effective, professional communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders throughout the business development and sales cycle.
  • Networks with industry groups and professional organizations to establish the presence and reputation of the company.
  • Bachelor's in Engineering (Chemical, Metallurgy, Automation, Electrical, or similar)
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in automation or mining and mineral processing
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales and business development
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in mining and mineral processing
  • Automation and optimization knowledge
  • Proven presentation, relationship building, and sales skills
  • Resourceful, selfmanaged, and goal driven but still able to work effectively in a team
  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills
  • Travel (estimated 50%) within North America; driver's license and valid passport mandatory.
  • Established network of mining and mineral processing contacts in Eastern Canada
  • Fluency in both English and Canadian French
