Description

Buy Low Foods has an opportunity available for a Cashier (Front End Clerk) at our store in Vernon, BC. This position is Part-Time and reports to the Store Manager.

Cashiers are responsible for providing efficient and friendly service to customers in our bustling grocery store. Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Service, cash handling, health & safety, stocking shelves
Cash register operation and procedures
Superior customer service for all guests
Maintain a clean and hygienic environment
Perform assigned tasks as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

Previous retail or customer service experience in a grocery setting
Basic math skills
Lotto and/or food safe certification a plus
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong customer service skills
Availability for various shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
Willingness to learn different roles
Safety-conscious and reliable
Effective communication and conflict resolution abilities
Ability to stand, lift, and handle items up to 50 pounds
Proficient in English, both spoken and written
