The Position:


We are looking for an
Assistant Racquets Coordinator who will provide support to the Head Racquets Professional and Racquets Coordinator.

They will monitor the service of the general racquets facilities. The Assistant Racquets Coordinator must be able to work shifts, during the day, evening, weekends, and holidays.


Working with the various Club departments, this position will also be responsible for ensuring handbooks and guides, sales collateral and other informational material is created as needed and/or updated as required.


An Overview of Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular duties while stationed at the racquets office while also ensuring all process and operations is running smoothly
  • Complete daily office & Defib safety inspection
  • Provide assistance to member complaints and questions when required in a courteous,professional and timely manner
  • Maintain a welcoming outdoor/indoor environment (tidy areas, dry benches, etc)
  • Address issues of potential conflict with members courteously, directly and professionally (for instance, regarding court etiquette or attire), and report to HRP and/or Racquets Coordinator
  • Update social media according to defined schedule for the team
  • Tracking inventory (ex. Paddles, racquets, balls) and billing appropriately
  • Assists with billings for the racquets department including clinics, camps, programs and events, tennis balls, prizes, etc.
  • Work with our Head Racquets Professional to ensure all staff are equipped with the knowledge and equipment to perform their job properly and efficiently
  • Coordinate regular communications/meetings with tennis staff in coordination with the Head Professional to develop plans to improve the quality of service in the Racquets Department through innovative strategies
  • Assist with the registration of all tennis and squash events, programs and socials to ensure everything runs smoothly
  • Ensure that all service staff are informed about upcoming events or information members may request to ensure all staff is helpful to members
  • Maintain good communication between members and the Racquets Department by using various communication mediums including social media, the Sundial, bulletin board, website, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining good communication between Tennis Court staff & office staff
  • Assist with organizing the ladies' and men's team matches, ladders and practice
  • Handles tennis & squash court reservations for member's games and keep the online booking system updated to reserve courts for tennis events, programs maintenance, etc. in advance
  • Assist members with booking tennis, pickleball and squash lessons, answer questions

An Overview of Qualifications Education/Skills/Knowledge Experience

  • General tennis knowledge a plus (squash and pickleball as well)
  • Ability and willingness to play tennis a plus
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Social Media experience
  • Ability to comprehend departmental accounting and budgetary processes, prepare, analyze and summarize event order
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Able to work shifts days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
