Marketing Assistant

Purpose
The Marketing Assistant reports to the Director of Development and Communications and is integral to the successful brand development.

This position is responsible for taking on a variety of tasks that allow for the successful completion of planned marketing programs.

This position requires a thorough understanding of AdaptAbilities programs, vision and brand.

The conscientious Marketing Assistant will act with integrity, be open to growth, live our purpose, cultivate teamwork, and put forth an extraordinary effort to empower people with special needs and their families to grow, succeed, and belong.

Key Functions

  • Collaborate with the Director or Development and Communications and partners on marketing strategy.
  • Assist in monitoring active marketing programs and assist in developing ways to improve those campaigns
  • Collaborate in creating innovative ways to gain exposure in community
  • Assist in identifying marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation.
  • Learn and work with various types of software for digital marketing.
  • Support with planning, implementing, and monitoring marketing campaigns
  • Perform other jobrelated activities as required

Qualifications:


  • Successfully completed at least one year of a Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Communications, English, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fastpaced environment
  • Great phone, computer, public relations, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Previous work in a nonprofit organization is an asset
  • Clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check
Working Conditions
This position is a contract (6 weeks) full-time position, from April 24, 2023 to June 2, 2023.

The position is based out of our Head Office and shifts are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Grant from the Government of Canada, which requires that the employee must be between 15 and 30 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada.

International students are not eligible.

Compensation


Hourly Rate:
$ $19.47
