JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Continue to build strong working relationships between community and academic partners
  • Coordinate scheduling, setting agendas, and minutetaking for bimonthly meetings for four concurrent working groups
  • Develop, manage and forecast study budgets
  • Manage all daytoday activities, including monitoring study timelines
  • Mentor student interns and support their selected research activities
  • Cofacilitate Youth Advisory Councils with a Lived Experience Mentor
  • Asset mapping data analysis and dissemination with community partners
  • Provide ongoing support for a quarterly seminar series and to a network of knowledge experts
  • Support the meaningful consultation with parent and Indigenous communities
  • Lead or oversee the creation of project outputs, such as writing reports, creating presentations, and developing educational materials including fact sheets and/or infographics
  • Document and maintain project files and records to facilitate team communication
  • Ensure quality, integrity and security of all study related information

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • An understanding of research in childhood disability
  • Knowledge of contemporary approaches to sexuality education and research
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Ability to manage multiple activities concurrently
  • Strong experience with knowledge mobilization activities
  • Ability to create materials appropriate for both academic and community partners
  • Ability to analyze qualitative transcripts
  • Strong written communication skills to interact with project team members
  • Excellent critical thinking to synthesise large amounts of information
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to lead, facilitate and participate in committees and/or project working groups
  • Be positive, diplomatic and tactful when working with others
  • Be willing to master new skills
