    Description
    We are seeking an experienced Planner for a contract engagement with a mining client of ours in BC. This position is on a fly in/fly out 14:7 rotation.

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    Development of programs in line with company standards and clients' requirements for each aspect of the project including studies, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

    Responsibilities

    • Development of programs in line with company standards and clients' requirements for each aspect of the project including studies, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

    • Analysis of Critical Path activities.
    • Conduct Schedule Risk Analysis as required, identifying options for corrective action.
    • Conduct team program review sessions.
    • Integration of subcontractors, suppliers and service providers programs into the overall program.
    • Measure, monitor, and manage updates of project progress and advise corrective action as required.
    • Develop and present prioritized lists of look ahead tasks.
    • Deliver timely, accurate and appropriate project reporting including forecasting and S-Curves.
    • Assess and report on internally and externally driven changes to project scope and potential impact on the project including budget, time, resources etc.
    • Review procurement and expediting activities with the Project Procurement Team.
    • Assist in development of site tracking sheets and progress measurement as required.
    Qualifications

    • To be successful in this role, you will be self motivated, well organized with the ability to manage multiple work fronts in a busy environment.
    You will be able to think out-of-the-box and be the driver to find innovative solutions.

    • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in a related discipline.
    -5 years + planning experience within Engineering, Mining, Construction, Oil & Gas industry.
    -1+ years of practical site-based experience preferred.

    • Proficiency in the use of Primavera P6, Excel, and Microsoft Project (Other planning software would be considered).
    • Detailed reporting experience, including Earned Value Analysis and progress S-Curves
