Warehouse Supervisor
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning:
- Planning an efficient Production Schedule and periodic evaluation of R.O.P's according to historical consumption and forecasts.
- To assist in preparing annual operating and capital budget for Laurent Warehouse Cost Centre, ensuring all invoices for departmental supplies and services are accurate and coded with appropriate budget codes.
- To develop, implement and monitor procedures for receipts of prepackaged products.
- To develop, implement and Monitor Procedures for Shipping of prePackaged or Bulk Products
- To optimize the use of available warehouse space and material handling equipment through data collection, maintaining of warehouse management systems (manual and electronic).
- To periodically review sales initiatives and respond by providing quality in house service consistent with sales plans.
- Responsible for the initial preparation of annual operating expense and capital budgets for the liquid, dry, and food grade cost centers.
- To provide plant input to the management process to increase growth and productivity consistent with corporate objectives.
- To ensure mutually agreed targets are set and reviewed with all reports.
- To prepare and update all aspects of safety, health and environmental protection in production areas and standard operating procedures.
- To support Brenntag Responsible Care and Quality (ISO) programs.
- To assist in preparing annual operating and capital budgets Maintenance/Housekeeping.
- To develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all areas of the St-Laurent Distribution Centre.
- To provide replacement/repair/fabrication of any type of mechanical and/or electrical equipment, providing practical and economical services to increase productivity consistent with corporate objectives
- Any other task that may be assigned by management
Motivating:

- Provide an atmosphere fostering a cooperative working relationship between management and employees within the operations group to encourage a high level of morale.
- Provide coaching, advice and counselling to all personnel that may be helpful to them and beneficial to corporate objectives.
- Ensure that performance reviews are conducted for all subordinates, at least annually in accordance with the performance management process.
- Research and recommend measurable and mutually acceptable performance targets for immediate subordinates.
- Implement corporate compensation, employee benefit and human resource policies.
- Any other task that may be assigned By Management
Organization:
- To ensure that all staff receive necessary and relevant training to competently perform their duties.
- To maintain procedures for the identification and storage of offspec and slow moving inventory.
- To ensure that all staff have an updated position description completed so that all responsibilities and authorities are understood and accepted.
- To develop and implement increased safety awareness for staff using safety meetings in line with corporate policy.
- To organize and supervise the shipping/receiving and storage of product ensuring compliance with all corporate and government regulations and policies and that work is completed safely and efficiently; with all standards and procedures being followed.
- To ensure correct methods and storage areas are used when storing supplies and finished products.

- To develop and implement safety awareness for staff using safety meetings in line with corporate policy.
- To develop procedures ensuring all corporate health and safety policies, purchasing policies and government regulations are followed when maintenance services are provided by staff or outside contractors.
