As a key player on the maintenance team, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the company's fleet of Peterbilt, Mack and International highway and day cab units as well as our trailer fleet.


Responsibilities:


  • Performing inspections and completing basic diagnostics;
  • Visually inspecting and proactively preventing future mechanical hazards, resolving issues immediately;
  • Performing daily services & repairs as needed ensuring the safe operation of all units, including but not limited to greasing & maintaining trailers, electrical repairs, oil & filter changes etc;
  • Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures including Lockout/Tagout program, housekeeping and observes the operations to insure a safe work environment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:


Requirements:


  • 310T Technician Certificate.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience working on transport truck and trailers.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair "DEF Issues" a must.
  • Excellent technical, planning, scheduling and organizational skills.
  • The ability to squat, crawl, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to maintain continuous lifting, pushing, pulling of objects of varying weights.
  • English language skills both verbal and written.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills and exceptional, positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and strong process orientation.
  • Ability to multitask and work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Willingness to take initiative within the work environment.
  • Strong team player with ability to work with others.
