Opportunity


MacEwan University is seeking an individual for a full-time Non-Recurring Term opportunity as Marketing Coordinator with the School of Continuing Education.

The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Marketing Manager at the School of Continuing Education (SCE). The marketing coordinator supports marketing operations, research, projects, and activities relating to marketing and campaigns. The marketing coordinator will be responsible for effective marketing and promoting of all programs delivered by the SCE.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Working directly with the Marketing Manager to determine marketing plans and priorities for SCE.
  • Setting up and launching advertising campaigns for all program units within the SCE as required.
  • Providing a project management role in setting up campaigns, projects, and events.
  • Developing marketing content using print, video, and other mediums.
  • Reviewing content marketing for external distribution.
  • Reviewing environmental scans relating to marketing and the labour market.
  • Creating and presenting reports from scans, surveys, and analytics.
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to complete projects.

Skills

  • Strong understanding and experience with using social media platforms.
  • Experience with setting up and reporting on digital advertising campaigns like Google, Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, etc.
  • Sound project management skills while working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with market research for analyzing industry trends.
  • Strong reporting and analysis skills needed to summarize results and requirements.
  • Attention to detail, including proofreading abilities.
  • Effective writing and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently or with others as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum two years of experience in marketing and communications.
  • Understanding Adobe Creative suite is an asset.
  • Equivalences may be considered.
