Job Function:


To support all aspects of assigned Community Investment work plans and projects, assisting team to meet milestones and final deliverables.


  • Participate in Community Investment events/activities at Hydro One. Assist the Community Investment team in working with other Lines of Business, other departments, charitable partners and Grantees.
  • Assist in executing communication campaigns and collaborating with the Internal and External Corporate Communications team.
  • Assist in the development and execution of employee events including webcasts, meetings, campaigns.
  • Support all activities related to Hydro One's employee giving program: Power to Give, including assisting with the coordination of online giving platform (Benevity), assisting in the development of communications materials, supporting the network of volunteers, and assisting in the planning and execution of fundraising events. Liaising with external vendors for internal events.
  • Assist in the reporting of Community Investment project progress against the Community Investment strategy, including project plans, requirements, budget, and milestones.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Selection Criteria:


  • In progress or recently graduated: Postsecondary degree in Communication, Public Relations, Fundraising or other related field.
  • Experience: Requires knowledge of the charitable sector, corporate giving, or social impact strategies and tactics. This knowledge can be acquired through volunteer, education, professional, or a combination in the charitable/nonprofit/community investment sector.
  • Participation in a largescale fundraising campaign is considered a strong asset.
  • Previous administrative experience, including event planning and coordinating logistics, strong interpersonal skills, customerservice oriented, solutionsfocused and a positive attitude.
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, and Power Point, and Teams, (SharePoint and Benevity experience considered an asset).
  • Excellent demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated attention to detail/accuracy/thoroughness.
  • Work well independently as well as on a team and demonstrate initiative.
  • A Class G Driver's License is considered an asset.
