Bechtel has been appointed as the Delivery Partner, supporting our customer Metrolinx as part of an integrated team, to help deliver the signature Ontario Line Subway (OLS) Project, a transformational transit project for the Greater Toronto Area.

The multi-billion dollar project scope includes the design build, operations and maintenance of all infrastructure and rail systems associated with 15 stations and over 15km of new alignment.


Position Summary


We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager to lead the Don Valley Crossing (DVC) project, the scope of which is to construct 2 iconic viaducts over the Don Valley forming a key part of the norther section of the Ontario Line.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, including cost and schedule performance, risk management, and team coordination.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of a castin place segmental viaduct construction project, from conception to completion.
  • Manage project budget, schedule, and resources to facilitate successful project completion within established constraints.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project success, and develop contingency plans as necessary.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management, project sponsors, and team members.
  • Coordinate with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project goals and milestones are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage and motivate a diverse team of project professionals, including engineers, contractors, and support staff.
  • Continuously monitor project progress and take corrective action as needed to keep the project on track.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Professional designation is an asset.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks that could impact project success.
  • Reference experience guideline 1215 years in similar roles, and related infrastructure, transit and rail construction projects.
  • Experience of working on cast in place segmental viaduct projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools and techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks that could impact project success.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and project management best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
