Description

IBT College based in Toronto is actively seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or a Registered Nurse (RN) to teach a healthcare provider program.

Experience in r home care is required. The program is taught online. It is a part-time teaching position. Seeking flexibility to work in the evening.

Multiple hirings for this position to be considered.


Duties and Responsibilities include:


Academic

  • Ensure students are being taught in accordance with approved curriculum
  • Familiarity with online instruction and Google Classroom is an assist
  • Some of the Academic topics include: Nutrition and Meal Planning, Anatomy and Physiology, Health and Safety, Person-Centred Care.

Administrative

  • Assist with tracking student hours in accordance with college procedures
  • Implement and follow the policies and procedures established by the College
  • Participate in meetings with staff when required
  • Participate in student orientations
  • Maintain proper records of student meetings
  • Submit monthly reports to the program coordinator

Instructional

  • Teach students using a systematic plan that consists of lectures, demonstrations, discussion groups, interactive activities, independent and group projects
  • Ensure all course objectives and modules are taught according to the program schedules
  • Establish an appropriate atmosphere in the classroom which is conducive to learning
  • Regularly monitor student progress and adjust courses accordingly
  • Base the evaluation of students on the guidelines established by the College
  • Keep accurate and complete records of student performance
  • Prepare final examinations in accordance with guidelines established on the course outline
  • Provide timely feedback to students regarding academic progress

Qualifications
Licensed Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse

Teaching experience is required


Working Conditions

  • Position location: Remote, Online
  • Expected Hours of work: 2025 hours per week

Compensation

  • To be discussed, based on teaching experience and practical experience.

Salary:
$28.00-$32.00 per hour
