Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of IT.

The Manager of Member Intelligence develops innovative BI solutions in collaboration with external parties and other CBA partner organizations to aid the CBA to make data-driven solutions.

You will own the business intelligence (BI) roadmap and assist in developing and driving BI strategy. Must be able to adjust to various demands and be skilled in the supporting technology utilized by the CBA.

Languages:


As the national organization for the legal profession in Canada, the CBA delivers services in both of Canada's official languages.

English and French language capability would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop Structured Query Language (SQL) queries to retrieve meaningful and relevant information from databases.
  • Analyzing complex sets of data and synthesizing them into actionable reports that allow the association to make stronger and betterinformed decisions
  • Responding to data and analysis requests from the CBA stakeholders to support the decisionmaking process by creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions.

Some of those requests may include:

  • Data cleaning and preparation
  • Data analysis and exploration
  • Creating data visualizations
  • Creating dashboards and report

Education:

University degree in Computer Science and relevant quantitative discipline.


Experience:


  • Minimum five years' experience with PCbased software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook)
  • 35 years of experience managing business intelligence tools to analyze data, developing dashboards
  • Proficiency with systems such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, and data visualization tools like Power BI
  • Strong background in quantitative thinking, data analysis, and statistical analysis (regression, factor analysis, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills ability to analyze raw data, identify trends, and patterns, find insights and provide actionable strategic recommendations
  • Exposure to eCommerce solutions, CRM systems, and financial systems.
  • Independent selfstarter with a sense of urgency, proven results, and solutionoriented
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with multiple peer groups and senior levels of management
  • Ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences including executives and nontechnical leaders

  • Performing training (inperson or online.)
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to take direction, and work independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure within time constraints.
  • Excellent interpersonal and sound communication skills; and
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends as required.
