Reporting to the IT Manager, Infrastructure and Security, this position is responsible for the following:
- Monitors alerting from Manage Detect and Response (MDR) and Security Information Event Management (SIEM) and investigates and resolves issues accordingly;
- Monitors Intrusion Detection systems for anomalies;
- Helps monitor, identify, evaluate and communicate cyber security risks to IT Leadership Team;
- Provides recommendations to improve overall security posture and compliance;
- Educates and stays up to date on Cyber Security technologies, trends, risks and best practices;
- Assists with Security Awareness and Education programs for all NLC employees;
- Assists with development and testing of Security policies, processes, and incident response plans;
- Support and counsel IT coworkers on topics related to information security;
- Documents security incidents and assess their actual or potential damage;
- Produces and maintains architectural documentation and diagrams;
- Actions change management documentation;
- Performs server and security audits;
- Participates in oncall support for Infrastructure and Security Group.
- University Degree in Computer Science, Two (2) to Three (3) year postsecondary diploma in computer studies;
- Minimum five (5) years Information technology field;
- High degree of security, PCI and compliance expertise;
- Experience with system integration, system planning, security and software management best practices;
- Experience in an IT security environment and indepth experience with security systems and infrastructure, including enterprisewide infrastructure and systems, communication systems and mobile devices
- Proficient knowledge and experience working with breach & attach simulation and incident response procedures;
- Works independently, prioritizes and multitasks in a dynamic environment, adapts quickly to change and manages multiple projects simultaneously;
- Strong documentation and communication skills;
- Proven analytical, creative problem solving and collaborative decision making abilities;
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, customer service and teambuilding skills;
- Strong strategic and operational knowledge of key security products, tools and technologies;
- A passion for Cyber Security and Technology;
- Experience with hands on operation support roles in an enterprise consisting of on premise and cloud services;
- A strong networking background would be an asset;
- Proficient in O365 Security Administration would be an asset;
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification would be an asset.
Salary:
CG 37 - $61, $69,232.80 Annually
