What you'll do

Reporting to the Business Services Manager supporting Customer and Corporate Affairs, this position provides daytoday

financial support and strategic financial guidance to the Customer and Corporate Affairs business group and the Finance
Key Business Unit (KBU);

Provide guidance and oversight for two (2) Financial Analyst direct reports;
Leads the development and ongoing maintenance of financial reporting packages, dashboards, and reporting on key

performance indicators & metrics;

Leads annual budgeting process and provides management with monthly reporting and analysis to support forecast

updates;

Leads meetings to present and review monthly operating results with management;
Works closely with operational teams to prepare information required to support regulatory filings, including Revenue

Requirements Applications, Information Request processes, other filings or hearings with the BC Utilities Commission, and
other information required by stakeholders;

accounting issues and regulatory matters;

Assists with internal and external audit requirements;
Provides updates and training to operational teams on financial and internal control policy/process changes;
Ensures that operational teams are complying properly with BC Hydro financial policies, operational procedures, and

related reporting requirements; and

Works closely with the Business Services Manager and other members of the finance team supporting Customer and

Corporate Affairs; supports the ongoing development of a team-oriented culture within Finance and across BC Hydro.

What you bring

Professional Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent).
A minimum of 9 years' experience in a progressively more responsible financial management capacity with specific

experience in financial analysis and control.

Strong knowledge and understanding of the operations and business decision processes of a large, complex organization.
Considerable technical knowledge of financial, investment and risk analysis models and techniques.
Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and problemsolving skills.
Excellent financial leadership, relations management, team building, conflict management, interpersonal and

communication skills.- Ability to facilitate and manage the business planning process, develop the business plan, and measure performance to

objectives.- Ability to analyze investment opportunities, assess business and operational implications and develops strategic business

options in order to maximize results and accomplish business objectives.- Ability to think and act with strong business acumen.

Knowledge of the utilities industry (financial operations) and experience with SAP would be an asset.
Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills.
