The Opportunity
Our team is growing, and we are looking for a mechanical estimator to join our inside sales team.

This position will help deliver engineered to order quotations quickly and effectively to our outside sales team and/or quote coordinators.

In this engineered to order business, there are always new and exciting projects to work on, that include material handling equipment, storage solutions, and more

Responsibilities

Using existing engineering tools, configure mechanical equipment components, and estimate the cost of said equipment. Create quotation document for AGI equipment sales.
Provide general inside sales support to the outside sales team, such as looking up previous projects or part sales, change orders, or warranty orders.
Reach out to vendors as required to get pricing on components, either new or existing.
Reviews customer purchase orders and processes order (into ERP systems as required). Communicates order to required teams for execution of work.

Qualifications

MS Office Proficiency (Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams)
Ability to review and analyze project drawings, and to read and interpret blueprints
Mechanical aptitude
Willingness to learn and grow within the business
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong relationship building and communication skills, both written and verbal
Post-Secondary Degree in Engineering, Business or Agriculture or equivalent experience is an asset.
Engineerintraining (E.I.T.) registration in MB would be an asset, but not a requirement.

On the Job (OTJ) Training to be provided on:

Mechanical engineering of material handling equipment, including bucket elevators, drag conveyors, screw conveyors, gates, valves, processing equipment, scales, etc.
Custom quoting and engineering software, and various estimating strategies
Agricultural system layout and design
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and project management software
Solidworks and/or Inventor, parametric CAD software.
