Team Profile:
The Legal and Compliance Division assists Morgan Stanley in achieving its business objectives in a manner consistent with the Firm's core values and Global Risk Management Principles, by facilitating and overseeing the Firm's management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk.
Legal and Compliance:
Professionals within Legal and Compliance provide a wide range of services to our business units.
They might help to structure a complex and sensitive cross-border transaction; advise on a new product introduction; develop a training program or defuse an investor dispute.
They preserve the firm's invaluable reputation for integrity and protect the firm from sanctions with policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements around the world.
They also strive to maintain cooperative relationships with governmental policy makers and the regulatory and self-regulatory agencies that govern the firm's businesses.
Overview of Legal & Information Management:
Morgan Stanley's Information Management team focuses on the firm's ability to effectively retain, retrieve and protect information to meet its obligations and generate value for its customers and shareholders.
Product Manager Role:
The firm is expanding its information protection capabilities and looking for a team member to take on responsibilities including product management and service delivery, supporting the Firm's compliance obligations and risk management goals.
The role includes the following responsibilities:
- Collaborate with end user representatives to craft Information Protection capabilities that address business risks.
- Capture new business requirements and ensure they are tracked and prioritized.
- Represent Information Protection in working groups, committees, and company forums.
- Be accountable for product documentation and guiding the appropriate and successful use of Information Protection features.
- Accept and reject work in accordance with the team mission and scope.
- Ensuring commitments to business stakeholders are met.
- Writing user stories that are easily understandable by the business and detailed enough for the development team.
- Creating a framework for Information Protection services delivery.
- Morgan Stanley information protection roadmap development and prioritization.
- Influence Microsoft Information Protection roadmap to meet Morgan Stanley needs.
- Expertise in data leak prevention interactions with information protection.
- Keep abreast of related commercial software/service offerings and recommend their use.
- Integrate information protection capabilities into other software and services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required skills, experience, and knowledge:
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
- One year of demonstrated experience with with with Microsoft Information Protection (or Azure Information Protection) technologies.
- Handson operations experience with production systems.
- Demonstrated technical and usereducation writing skills.
- Experience writing content for, and making presentations to, technical and nontechnical colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while meeting multiple deadlines.
Desired skills, experience, and knowledge:
- Degree or Certificate in Informational Technology, CISPP, CIPP
- Demonstrated familiarity with the use of Exact Data Match.
- Experience in a highly regulated organization using mature ITIL processes.
- Experience using Microsoft Information Protection Scanner
- Experience using JIRA
- Skilled user of Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint
- Experience with SDLC and complex software development projects
