Summary

Main Duties:

Sweep, scrub, mop and polish floors
Organize work schedule from the room status list, arrivals and departures via HotSOS
Vacuum clean carpets, rugs and draperies
Shampoo carpets, rugs and upholstery
Dust and polish furniture and fittings
Clean metal fixtures and fittings
Empty and clean trash containers and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
Clean/disinfect washbasins, mirrors, tubs, toilets and showers with the proper chemicals. Wipe down glass surfaces.
Make up beds and change linens as required and inspect and turn mattresses regularly
Tidy up rooms for stay over guests
Wash windows as scheduled
Store all dirty laundry in line with company policy and sort, wash, load and unload laundry if required
Operate mechanized cleaning equipment
Ensures all company minimum brand standards have been implemented, and that optional brand standards have been implemented where appropriate.
Cleans and maintains the cleanliness of corridors, public areas, public washrooms, and surrounding back areas
Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition. Organize and restock cart as well as the service area at the end of the shift.
Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards. Observe and report damage of hotel property
Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies
Check all appliances in rooms are in working order
Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
Respond to guest queries and requests and provide exceptional guest service at all times
Remove room service items
Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms
Follow all company safety and security procedures
Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

A true desire to satisfy the needs of guests in a fastpaced environment.
Ability to understand the service orders and requirements
Ability to learn about cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods, and cleaning sensitive materials
Ability to learn how to operate cleaning equipment
Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, pull, squat, kneel and bend
Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs)
Ability to work in a team with integrity and confidentiality
