Recruiter 12 Month Contract - Vancouver, Canada - Westport Fuel Systems
Description
Position Responsibilities:
- Fullcycle end to end recruitment across a variety levels and disciplines
- Conducting resume screening, phone screens of applicants, coordinating the scheduling of, facilitating and conducting interviews, checking references and evaluating applicant qualifications through to offer negotiations.
- Work with hiring managers to thoroughly understand their positions, teams, and recruitment needs;
- Conducting a consistent interview process and assessment approach.
- Develop job descriptions and interview guides
- Make hiring recommendations to hiring managers;
- Work with hiring managers and the Manager, Human Resources on offer strategy, letters of offer and onboarding;
- Manage all recruitment related contracts and renewals;
- Utilizing proactive targeted sourcing strategies (e.g. community, academic or professional organizations) and providing insightful recommendations for top talent based on market research.
- Supporting, researching and engaging in employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives.
- Perform other special recruitment related projects as assigned.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Promote Westport's H&S culture following all Environmental, and H&S procedures and understanding your obligations and responsibilities
- Report unsafe conditions, behaviors and all accidents
- Cooperate with JHSC (Joint Health & Safety Committee) and Safety representative
Position Requirements:
- 5+ years of recruitment experience in a fast paced, dynamic technology environment;
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Management;
- Solid experience in recruiting for engineering and manufacturing positions;
- Experience as an inhouse recruiter a definite asset;
- Must be detailed oriented with strong project management skills;
- Creative sourcing experience required;
- Experience with an applicant tracking system;
- Previous experience using LinkedIn Recruiter considered an asset;
- Results focused a driven;
- Must be tactful, diplomatic and possess the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization;
- Be able to build trust and rapport with others; develop and maintain collaborative relationships with customers and others to meet mutual goals and objectives;
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and good business sense are desirable
Salary Range
This role offers a competitive compensation and benefits program including a salary within our hiring range of $70,000 to $90,000.
