Field Services Technician

  • 1 Full-Time Permanent Position located in Edmonton, Alberta_

We are looking for a Field Services Technician to join our Field Services group in our pursuit to provide our customers with the highest quality products and world-class support.

What You'll Work On
The Field Services team is responsible for seasonal travel to perform product installations, commissioning, and maintenance, along with a variety of sales and customer service responsibilities


This includes the following:

  • Conducting onsite installation, maintenance or troubleshooting service visits while working closely with customers to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Collaboration and building close relationships with field service team members
  • Review and updating of procedural, safety documentation and regularly scheduled inspections.
  • Assisting with testing and configuring project/contract specific hardware
  • Coordination of work with various subcontractors and project managers.
  • Tracking and managing project time, expenses, equipment, and PPE

What We're Looking For

  • Completion of related postsecondary education or journeyman certification (For example: Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, etc.) or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of related experience with field / electronic instrumentation.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong mechanical skills, a basic knowledge of electronics, and a high level of technical troubleshooting ability.
  • Possession of Class 5 drivers' license, three years of driving experience, and a clean 3year abstract.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work irregular hours including up to 12hour days, and over weekends based on client needs.

Work Environment
This is combined work environment with office, light manufacturing and outdoor field work components. Work demands will be the determining factor in where work occurs. Frequent travel and outdoor work in inclement weather is anticipated.


Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs. of equipment over short distances as needed during fulfilling job responsibilities.
