We are seeking Estimating Students, for our BC Region district, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4-12 months starting in September 2024.

This position will be under the direct supervisor of the Chief Estimator.

Here's how an Estimating Student for our BC Region office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities:

Understanding and utilizing PCL's estimating manuals, systems and forms
Reviewing quantity survey assignment with lead estimator or Chief Estimator
Performing assigned quantity survey
Giving quantities of major purchase items to purchasing department for pricing
Transferring quantities to lead estimator
Performing general subtrade solicitation duties
Bid document control
Performing bid day assignments
Visiting job sites periodically
Developing relationships with subcontractors
Other duties as assigned by the Chief Estimator

Qualifications:

Pay Range:
$20-$26

PCL Student wages are determined individually for each student based on the number of completed school terms, relevant work terms, kind of role and work location.
