Description
Integrated Project Team Student
Key Job Elements:
Under the guidance of a Team Leader and/or Subject Matter Expert perform one of the following IPT roles;-
Provisioning/Parts Content Developer/Writer:
- Receive, organize, and document system specifications, engineering drawings, bill of materials, and vendor data
- Document the physical breakdown of the vehicle, assembly and/or subsystem(s) in accordance with applicable military standards and approved customer maintenance concept
- Document and maintain the parts data in the Logistics Support Analysis Record database
- Develop/write recommended repair parts catalogues as part of overall development of technical manuals for automotive/vehicle/turret systems and subsystems of the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV)
Maintenance Engineering
Content Developer/Writer:
- Identify and recommend specials tools and test equipment that the customer may require in order to effectively support their vehicles
- Write clear, stepbystep maintenance instructions describing to soldiers how to remove, repair and replace vehicle system components and assemblies
- Develop/write procedures as part of overall development of technical manuals for automotive/vehicle/turret systems and subsystems of the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV)
Diagnostics Engineering
Content Developer/Writer:
- Support development of fault insertion tools and non-destructive faults for use in validation of troubleshooting procedures
- Develop/write procedures as part of overall development of technical manuals for automotive/vehicle/turret systems and subsystems of the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV)
Support and/or potentially perform the following functions:
- Liaise with other teams as required to support development and QA of developed content
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints and subcontractor data
- Generate accurate illustration requests to support procedure development
- Maintain the configuration and revision of the data in the Logistics database as well as all supporting documents
- Proactively support and communicate with other Engineering teams and departments
- Assist with aftermarket support requests
- Plan and track progress of assigned activities
- Attend fitups as required
Required Qualifications:
- Working towards University Degree or College Diploma in a technical discipline
- Minimum 0 to 3 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated high levels of written and oral communications skills, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & Int'l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge in the operation, maintenance and integration of vehicle components and systems
- Experience with VisMockup (Team Center Visualization) and Arbortext or other XML editing softwareGeneral Dynamics Land Systems
