Integrated Project Team Student

Key Job Elements:

Under the guidance of a Team Leader and/or Subject Matter Expert perform one of the following IPT roles;-
Provisioning/Parts Content Developer/Writer:

Receive, organize, and document system specifications, engineering drawings, bill of materials, and vendor data
Document the physical breakdown of the vehicle, assembly and/or subsystem(s) in accordance with applicable military standards and approved customer maintenance concept
Document and maintain the parts data in the Logistics Support Analysis Record database
Develop/write recommended repair parts catalogues as part of overall development of technical manuals for automotive/vehicle/turret systems and subsystems of the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV)

Maintenance Engineering
Content Developer/Writer:

Identify and recommend specials tools and test equipment that the customer may require in order to effectively support their vehicles
Write clear, stepbystep maintenance instructions describing to soldiers how to remove, repair and replace vehicle system components and assemblies
Develop/write procedures as part of overall development of technical manuals for automotive/vehicle/turret systems and subsystems of the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV)

Diagnostics Engineering
Content Developer/Writer:

Support development of fault insertion tools and non-destructive faults for use in validation of troubleshooting procedures
Develop/write procedures as part of overall development of technical manuals for automotive/vehicle/turret systems and subsystems of the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV)

Support and/or potentially perform the following functions:

Liaise with other teams as required to support development and QA of developed content
Read and interpret engineering blueprints and subcontractor data
Generate accurate illustration requests to support procedure development
Maintain the configuration and revision of the data in the Logistics database as well as all supporting documents
Proactively support and communicate with other Engineering teams and departments
Assist with aftermarket support requests
Plan and track progress of assigned activities
Attend fitups as required

Required Qualifications:

Working towards University Degree or College Diploma in a technical discipline
Minimum 0 to 3 years relevant experience
Demonstrated high levels of written and oral communications skills, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & Int'l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge in the operation, maintenance and integration of vehicle components and systems
Experience with VisMockup (Team Center Visualization) and Arbortext or other XML editing softwareGeneral Dynamics Land Systems
