Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee delivery of all health, fitness, aquatics, recreation, and community outreach programs. Ensure high quality and excellence in all programs
  • Provide motivational leadership, guidance, coaching and mentoring to employees and volunteers supporting a culture of wellbeing and belonging
  • Develop and monitor annual budget and expenditures for all direct reporting areas and monitor program analytics
  • Manage recruitment & selection, increasing employee engagement, performance management and payroll
  • Work collaboratively with the Program and Business Development team and other community hubs to understand program targets, goals and opportunities
  • Actively engage with members of the community and promote YMCA-YWCA programs
  • Actively participate in initiatives that drive membership and sales overall

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in a related program area or business administration. Experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in customer or member services and managing staff
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting cultures of inclusivity and belonging
  • Handson experience creating, forecasting, and monitoring budgets
  • Welldeveloped relationship building skills within both community and corporate realms
  • Welldeveloped diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Ability to build a high performance, effective and cohesive team
  • Ability to lead, effectively implement, and manage change

Required
